Paint Lab Technician

We are a business-to-business company where customers send us color standard panels to match.
Our paint lab tech will then create a custom formula for an exact match.
Once the technician has an exact match, the technician will produce the amount of paint needed to fill the customer's order.
Production will then package paint in aerosols, or other types of containers.
Our Lab technician splits his/her time matching paint to create formulas, as well as making paint for customers that have existing formulas.
Our preferred candidate must be able to visualize match to the color standard and understand what adjustments are needed to ensure the color and gloss are correctly matched.
Our new lab tech must be able to maintain organization and keep files of all matches/formulas he or she creates.
They must be able to refer to these files when a customer reorders that paint in the future.
REQUIRED SKILLS- Must have relevant paint matching experience.
Must have good vision & color matching skills.
Must understand color theory.
Needs to have a technical knowledge of paint mixing, pigments, and bases.
Must be able to work in Excel and do basic math calculations.
Must be physically able to lift 50lbs.
Must have good time management, communication, and organizational skills.
Will oversee managing waste materials.
Will manage inventory of paint materials.
Assist with shipping and receiving materials.
Safety equipment is readily available as needed Job Type:
