PAYROLL COORDINATOR
CORESTAFF Services is currently seeking an Payroll Coordinator for a 12
month assignment in Cleveland, NC.
Administer time and attendance systems transaction flow including transmitting employee time and updates of employee access and table maintenance. This includes auditing and review of the time.
Maintain all leave accrual balances (sick, vacation, PTO). Coordinate Time & Attendance system calendars for all holidays including floating holidays.
Communicate with Plant Managers and Supervisors regarding employee time keeping issues.
Process and report to HR all attendance control transactions. Maintain attendance control history.
Process shift, labor pool and work station assignments along with rate adjustments for temporary upgrades.
Update Manager/Supervisor assignments as necessary using TimeLink.
Communicate personal employee changes to Corporate Payroll. Provide deduction updates as necessary.
Provide various payroll information to outside vendors as authorized and/or requested.
Provide appropriate plant labor, head count reporting to plant controllers and union management.
Answer shop floor employee payroll and benefit administration questions.
Maintain employee HR/Payroll personnel files.
Administer union and nonunion disability plans for pay and record keeping.
Investigate and resolve employee pay discrepancies.
Qualifications:
Associate Degree with 2 - 3 years of business experience.
Knowledge of Union Shop environment, TimeLink and PeopleSoft is a plus.
Strong written and communication skills are essential.
Team player approach to problem solving, and thinking strategically to find opportunities for improvements is required.
Payroll experience a plus.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
